I created these images as a series of small (no larger than 6″ x 8″), collages. One a day was my goal for at least a month; 40 was my final total.
SURF now exists as giclée prints 5x’s the original size and as a variety of multiple small crops of each image.
The exhibit, SURF: A View from After, is a series of bold color juxtapositions of organic shapes depicted in collage and giclée. These images invite you to imagine a world where one is alternatively very small and very large. SURF: A View from After takes you into imaginary landscapes reminiscent of a beautiful garden where land, sea, and sky converge.
Look carefully and reflect on Alice’s words: “……and if it makes me grow larger, I can reach the key; and if it makes me grow smaller, I can creep under the door; so either way I’ll get into the garden, and I don’t care which happens.” (Lewis Carroll, 1865)
Original art not in private collection is for sale. Reproductions are also available.
Many images can be reproduced as wall murals or commissioned as wall art.
