When I was a little girl, my Dad, who was very precise, a master teacher & artisan, used to smooth out the small silver foil squares that covered Hershey’s chocolate kisses. It was fascinating to watch him make these crinkly pieces get as smooth as ice as he carefully burnished them with his finger certain not to tear them. Totally useless except it was aesthetically pleasing.
Enter the Hershey’s Nugget Assortment that didn’t exist when I was a little girl. Delectable chunks of that smooth chocolate in a couple of variations. On unwrapping one a couple of years ago, I noticed interesting patterns of triangles, rectangles and other geometric shapes from the folds. My inspiration for these pieces which I hope to turn into larger works soon. They are the size (except for the added drippy parts), of the actual wrapper.
